This year has been a wild ride for everyone, myself included, but many items helped me get through it without going crazy! I recently found myself sitting and reminiscing and thinking of this crazy year and all of the good and bad that has come of it, and began thinking of all of the things that helped me push through, other than my family, of course. Here are some of my favorite and most used items of 2020, in no particular order!
Nespresso Coffee Maker
I have always been a coffee drinker, I love coffee. I used to spend way too much buying it daily at Starbucks. My life changed for real when I received my Nespresso espresso and coffee maker a few months ago. I have had many coffee makers, including Keurig and the Ninja Coffee bar (which I love, by the way), and nothing has compared to the taste of the coffee that comes out of the Nespresso! I am obsessed! I also recently learned (thanks to www.laurabethallen.com) that they even have a recycle program with their pods! If you are in the market for a new coffee machine, I recommend the Nespresso by far! If you click the picture or link above, you can save 25% on one (at the time of writing this) and it even includes the milk frother!
Apple TVÂ
Not going to lie, when this pandemic first hit, it was still freezing out, I had a two month old, and almost no desire to leave the house. Lets just say, we watched a lot of television! I got my Apple TV as a gift a few years back and I am still obsessed with it to this day! Its so easy to use, you can download so many apps to stream TV shows, play games on it and control it with your iPhone! If you are considering getting one, get one.
Halo Bassinet
New parents: get a bedside bassinet! We absolutely love the Halo Bassinet for newborn sleep! Our son slept like a dang champion in his until he (sadly) outgrew it! We got it as a baby shower gift from our wonderful friend Jess, and were so thankful! The Halo swivels around for convenience, has sides that drop down to easily take your baby out while laying in bed, and ours even has a night light and sound/vibration machine attached! I always joked that I wished I could sleep in it!
Apple Watch
I could go on for days about how much I love my Apple Watch.. I won’t.. But I could.. My Apple Watch was hands down the main reason I got out of the house and got any exercise this year. No, seriously. Being able to see how active your friends are on the activity app is extremely motivating. You can have activity competitions with friends (except you, Ben. I won’t even try competing against you), track your heart rate, answer texts and calls and even keep an eye on your young children’s location with the newer ones! Yes, I am a huge Apple Watch fan! Get one!
Hydrocell Water Bottle
I got a 64 ounce Hydrocell back when I first found out I was pregnant to ensure I was drinking enough water every day, but didn’t feel like spending the money on a Hydroflask. Through out my entire pregnancy, labor, delivery and now eleven months into motherhood, I still use this water bottle every single day! I hate seeing people constantly buying cases of plastic water bottles when they could just buy one reusable water bottle that keeps your water cold (I’m talking about you, mom and dad). 10/10 would highly recommend getting yourself a Hydrocell! Like, right now.
UPPABaby Vista
Okay, this one is a bit pricey, but I would have been lost without it this year! I took my boy on so many walks this summer, at the high school track, all around our neighborhood, everywhere with our UPPABaby Vista! Â This stroller has so many attachments and options available for it including the ability to convert it to a double stroller for twins or even three different aged children (two in seats, one on the ‘kickstand’)! One of the main reasons we decided to go with the Vista was the ability to modify it if we ever chose to have another baby. Plus, not gonna lie, it always feels good when someone says “Oh my god! That’s like the Rolls Royce of strollers!” *insert laughing face*
