These past twenty-three days have been the longest year of my life, LOL, kidding. Kind of. Rather than writing an entire post out in story form, I have decided to just make a list of some of the events that have taken place. Lets jump right in!
- On October 23rd, I finally got a new phone! I had gone months without one, missing out on taking thousands of pictures of my baby and constantly having to share Cal’s phone with him (drove him crazy lol). If you hadn’t gotten a chance to check out my post about life without a phone, you can check it out here.
- The very next morning started off like any other morning. I made a cup (lets be real, it was a carafe) of coffee, snuggled up on the couch with my baby and then got a corneal abrasion. Typical day, right? It all happened so fast I didn’t have time to stop it. Roman and I were FaceTiming his Meme and Papa, he got a little too excited, swung his little arm in the air, and stabbed his little daggers into my eyeball. The only way I can describe how my eye felt over the next three days, was that it felt as though there was a piece of glass stuck in my actual eyeball, but I was not allowed to touch it. It was a very rough couple of days, to say the least. Check out this beautiful selfie I took right after it happened.
A corneal abrasion is a superficial scratch on the clear, protective “window” at the front of your eye (cornea).

- I got accepted to join LIKEtoKNOW.it! This was one of my many goals when I started my blog, and I cried tears of joy when I received my acceptance email! For those of you that don’t know what LIKEtoKNOW.it is, it’s basically like an Instagram feed with tons of pictures of home decor, outfits, etc., that have links to all of the products attached to make it easy for viewers to shop their favorite looks! You have to go through a process to be allowed to post on the app, however, anyone can join and be a follower! Click here to follow me!
- We celebrated our very first Halloween together as a family of four (including our pup Sophie, of course). I dressed up like Lauren German’s character Chloe in the show Lucifer! Our photo went viral on a Lucifer fan page, and Chloe (Lauren) herself liked my Instagram photo. Yes, I am fan girl-ing. Let me live.
- I finished one of my accelerated classes with a grade of 100% and then immediately started another class that I can guarantee I will not do as well in.
- We got a freaking new front door! I know, you are wondering how the heck this one made it to the list, but if you saw the one we had prior, you would understand.
I know this wasn’t a typical post of mine, but just wanted to give a little bit of insight into what has been going on in my life! Stay tuned, I have been working hard on Holiday Gift Guides!
